Message from the President

Aiming to build the best partnerships with our customers

Shimadzu Corporation has established Shimadzu Industrial Systems Co., Ltd., as a wholly owned subsidiary by merging Shimadzu Emit and Shimadzu Mectem in April 2018, in order to integrate the industrial infrastructure equipment business of both companies. Ever since Shimadzu Mectem’s establishment in 1962 as a subsidiary of Shimadzu Corporation, we have contributed to society through the pursuit of high-level technology and expertise. Shimadzu Industrial Systems has accumulated technologies over a long period of time that have led to the current core technologies of vacuum and heat treatment, high-speed film deposition, liquid transfer at high viscosities and pressures, liquid feeding/hydraulic equipment, high-speed rotation control, valve control equipment, X-ray inspection, and dynamic balancing machines.

Furthermore, through the pursuit of the synergy between both companies over a wide range, we intend to create new forms of innovation leading to the formation of a global leading company capable of being constantly aware of our client's needs. We full expect the new company to grow in both the domestic and foreign industrial markets while we confront a variety of new challenges.
